Cryptocurrencies are the future of secure money transactions and privacy concerns. As well it may be the only means left to stay out of government governance over our wealth. The financial futur will rely mainly on security by using highly encrypted revolution, in particular as it concerns the technology thereof associated , i.e. Blockchain.
Bitcoin has started a new era and I don’t see how we can deviate from its initial intents that generated the flux of billions into the ether. I foresee Bitcoin to reach $25,000 in value by December 13, 2018. But I also believe that Etherium will do better as far as ROI is concerned.

I think every other crypto out there is trying to do something on top of just transact, and that will leave BTC, and I think I can say ‘literally,’ the only coin that doesn’t do anything but sit there holding value until you move it. I’m of the mind that added utility in a token reduces its use as a simple store of value. What if gold were used for all sorts of things? I know it’s used in electronics and science, even goldschlager, but that’s minuscule to what’s in ft Knox. If gold were moving all over the place because of it’s utility, it’d probably still be valuable, but not really as a store of wealth. You’d probably switch to bitcoin.

Lets hope I’m right!

There is no technical insight informing my opinion beyond the observation that in 2017 bitcoin increased tenfold from a broadbrush threshold of circa $1K to $10K by the end of the year/early 2018, so if it did that again in 2018 then it would take us from circa $10K to circa $100K.

There are lots of things shaking out at the moment, like social media is dropping its coverage of crypto, Mt Gox bitcoins being dumped etc etc. Great bring it all on! The more these things shake out the better, then they won’t bother us later on. However what we need right now is something new to bring fresh money in and it will let rip…. an ETF being approved by the SEC would be a great start.

Who knows whats around the corner?

Lets see what happens later in the year, circa £100K is only a tenfold increase on where we are now, and bitcoin has done this before as have some of the alts, so $100K is not out of the box!

Looking back to November 2013 when there was also a great bulish run then market was bearish for more than two years.
I think bitcoin will be flat or bearish for a long time again, maybe next cycle only on Nov/Dec 2019 / 2020 or if sell offs of Mt Gox folks and news loses interest on bitcoin maybe a bull run in Jan 2019.
